Shhh…. I have a secret

Busy, busy, busy.

The first chapter of my dissertation is almost done. It is currently on its second round with the subject expert. I sincerely hope that this is the last round and that it is ok so I can move on. I want to finish by Christmas this year. I really can’t afford for it to take longer than that.

Plus, honestly, I am already sick of the subject matter, which is not a good thing considering it is my focus….

Eventually, I want to teach at the local university. Well, one of them, anyway. There are four within an hour from here and several other colleges and community colleges.

But, psychology is slowly disappearing from many of the curriculums. As is, unfortunately, philosophy.

It’s like we no longer want to teach people to think for themselves.

That ties into the inauguration of our current president. If he has his way, the one percent will not only rule over the 99% but become even more untouchable.

I am terrified of what is going to happen to our country—especially the female population.

We are already the laughing stock of the world.

And some of the things he has said he wants to do!

Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. Exactly who does he think that is going to effect? Well, Mexico as well as America. Plus, as the Mexican president has pointed out, the name on maps has been consistent for over 400 years.

Let that sink in: 400 years. Longer than the United States has been a country.

Annexing Canada. Making it a part of America. Now, I may be wrong, but do they want that? And are they still not technically a part of England? I believe that their leadership has already stated that they DO NOT want that. So, without a war, how is that going to happen?

Greenland. Apparently, it is under Danish control, and they also said, “Fuck no!” NATO has also mentioned that it would interfere with any moves made on sovereign nations.

The Panama Canal. We have a treaty with them. It is no longer ours.

Kinda like the body of females no longer belong to females. Men will decide what we can or can not do with our own bodies.

Birth control? Nope. Abortion for ANY reason? Nope. You were raped? Well, you probably led the guy on, told him yes, and then changed your mind, so it really wasn’t rape, was it?

Yeah, we are thinking of moving out of the country as soon as I finish my Doctorate. There is plenty of call for my specialty everywhere else in the world. Most will even pay moving expenses. My kids are thinking New Zealand. My husband prefers Scotland.

Me? Anywhere my family is, is where I want to be.
