Day One

Today we left San Diego.

On a big ass boat.

Excuse me, Ship. A big ass ship.

We sailed out of San Diego, where we flew into on Thursday night.

Excited, yes! Nervous, also, yes.

We have never left the kids alone for this long. Yes, I am aware that they are all over the age of 23, but, still, they are kids.

I know that my daughter can make sure everything will run smooth-ish. I just wonder about my youngest, the 23-year-old. He is my wild card.

Doesn’t like to follow the rules. But he is who he is.

I am really hoping that he will not give his sister to much trouble.

Trust in the kids.

But on to the cruise.

The weather was beautiful for embarkment and leaving the port.

Smooth leaving the port. smooth leaving the bay.

Swells once we hit the open water.

Guess who gets seasick? Yeah, me.

Hubby, the former sailor, has no issues with the rolling of the waves.

Me, my equal labrum is of kilter. Slightly nauseous, and a little bit dizzy.

Hubby swears it will pass, probably. In the meantime, Dramamine. Not really helping.

We walked around, trying to figure out where everything is. I think it will take a while.

The food is delicious. Of course, it has only been one day. But I have been assured that it will continue.

In the meantime, I think it is time for me to go to bed. Hopefully, when I wake up, I will be able to stomach the fabulous spread they will call breakfast. Or maybe lunch. After all, I am on vacation!
