Cruise, Day 4 & 5

San Francisco was day 4. Not much to tell. It was windy, cold, and rainy off and on. We actually got of the boat anyway. We took a tour around the Bay, on a double decker bus- something that I have always wanted to do. However, there was no way in hell I was sitting up top in the cold rain, on wet seats. Especially in shorts.

I know. Shorts were probably not the best choice, but all of my pants were in the laundry.

Because a cruise to Hawaii means warm weather! I kinda forgot the whole Upper Oregon, Canada, in April part. Had to buy a pair of sweat pants, and a sweatshirt (to match). So soft and like knitted.

Left port, and the seas were rocky again after we got out of the bay. Most of the night, too.

Day 5 was entirely at sea.

A rocky, angry sea.

Well, maybe not angry, but at least unhappy. I took a different type of Dramamine, and it knocked me out.

Didn’t get any work done on my dissertation again.

On the other hand, I actually got hubby to participate in game night!

Got back to the room and tried to go to bed, 4:00 and more Dramamine and Benadryl later…. I finally got to sleep, only to wake up at 7:30.

I guess I will probably crash again later.

This is a big ship and I know I am walking almost 2 miles a day- just around ship!

We had a conversation with a lady from Canada that also has two boys with Autism. Her kids sound like mine, except for little more focused. It is nice to talk to someone who understands the daily struggles of having autistic ‘adult’ children.

She is also a veteran cruiser. Lots of ideas and tips.
