“Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Go Back In The Water….”

JAWS has returned to the theaters for its 50th anniversary. I still remember when it first came out. I, however, have never seen it. I was too young to see it when it originally came out, and I love the water too much to have seen it since. It’s at our local theater, which is a single movie-at-a-time theater, so no date night for us this week. Yeah, there are other local theaters we could go to, but hubby needs the captions to keep up with what is going on. Context clues are sometimes difficult to follow. Plus, our theater is $7 for first-run movies, and all of the others are $12.50. Except Tuesdays, when it is $5 night. Which is CROWDED.

Too many people! Matinees are $8. Snacks are ridiculous at the other theaters as well. We can go to the movie locally and pay less than $20 for tickets, popcorn, candy, and something to drink. Why go elsewhere? They also do full meals, so it can be literally dinner and a show.

My back and neck are getting better. My main issue is my lower back right now, and the muscles in my back that don’t seem to want to unclench. The massage therapists all comment on how tight my back and neck are. I tried cupping during the last one to try to unknot the ones in my shoulder. It was weird, but it helped. However, it also left bruises on my back that lasted almost a week. I had been warned, so it wasn’t a surprise.

I started my new class last week. It is tough to get back into it, though. There have been several days when I honestly wanted to give up and call it a day. But I am so close to my doctorate that I just can’t justify quitting.

SO. MUCH. MONEY spent.

I’ll have to get over it and finish writing my literature review.
