Shhh…. I have a secret

It is almost the end of October already. I can’t say that I will be sorry to leave this year behind us soon, but I can’t say that just changing the year on the calendar will make a difference.

What a year it has been!

Cancer diagnosis.

Cruise!

Cancer surgery.

Car accident.

Daughter and co. stuck in Nevada in the middle of nowhere with a dead car.

Two back and forth trips to Nevada to get kids, then said car. Car gone for 16 days.

Car into the dealership here- for three weeks!

Daughters diagnosis that will lead to a hysterectomy.

Daughter-in-laws diagnosis that means no kids their either.

Trump and all of his continuing nonsense. Need I say more there?

Apparently, I do.

I rarely rant about political things. It just is not the way I was brought up. However…

The current political climate is dangerous.

The lack of oversight that Trump has is, well nonexistent. He just bulldozed the East Wing of the White House! No oversight. No permits. The White House is a property of the American people, which the National Parks Service is in charge of. No permission was asked, none of the five steps were completed.

Nope. Just executive privilege.

‘I’m doing because I can.’

$300 Million dollars to fuel his ego.

And the structure that he has ‘suggested’ that should go across from the Lincoln Center? The Trump Arch? WHY? Millions of dollars that are simply going for an ego boost.

People are going hungry because they aren’t getting paid- government is shut down! No money for you!

Unless you are a member of the House of Senate. They get paid regardless.

So what exactly is their reason to hurry any bills through? They will still eat. Pay their bills. Have health insurance-that we pay for.

Portland is not the war zone that he claims it is. I’ve been there recently. I have friends that live there.

The ‘no kings march’ had over 7million participants. But he claims that they are not a representative of the people.

Teachers in Portland were warned that there would be ICE waiting with lists outside of the school. For the KIDS!

KIDS, folks.

How the hell did our country turn into this in just 10 months.

The rest of the world thinks America is a joke.

I am ashamed, sad, and truly frightened for our country.
